Obituary of Melanie Zappo

Melanie Mindnich Zappo, 75 of Maplewood passed away on May 26, 2019. The family will be receiving friends to celebrate Melanie’s life at The Jacob Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood on Tuesday, June 4th from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. A Memorial Mass will follow on Wed June 5th at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect Street, South Orange. Burial of ashes will be at St. Vincent’s Cemetery in Madison. Melanie was born in East Orange and lived in Maplewood for many years.  She was an Educator for the East Orange Board of Education. Melanie is survived by her husband Louis Zappo, children Dan and Andrew Zappo and Mary Zimmerman and four grandsons, Owen, Connor and Declan Roth Zappo and Ben Malz.
