Bridget Josephine Milewski (nee Cooke), 84 of Newark passed away at home on June 18, 2019. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady Of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect Street, South Orange on Friday, June 21st at 10:30AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave, South Orange on Thursday, 4-8pm. Bridget was born in County Cavan, Ireland and lived in Newark since 1952. She was an office clerk for New Jersey Transit in Maplewood from 1981-1998. She was a past member of the Rosary Alter Society and a lifelong parishioner at Sacred Heart Church, Vailsburg. Bridget was predeceased by her son Matthew, her siblings Matthew and Anna Cooke and Philomena Clarke. She is survived by her husband Stanley A. Milewski, children Stanley C. and  Rev. Douglas Milewski and her sister Agnes Strappe.
