I worked with Yasmeen on the Child Study Team in Newark. She was consistently kind, thoughtful, helpful, supportive, and hard working!
We enjoyed exchanging stories about our one child each! She was always excited to talk about her son!

Yasmeen was a gift we shared for a short time. She was a young, talented and kind hearted person. She displayed a love, compassion and desire to make a better place for our youth. Her enthusiasm and compassion for the betterment of our children will be greatly missed.

I am in disbelief, so saddened and deeply sorry to hear of Yasmeen's passing. I only knew her for a short time, (two years), but it was irrefutable not to see her Light. Yasmeen was always so thoughtful, sweet and pleasant. I will miss seeing her and having such meaningful conversations, from the mundane, to the very important, like her son, and our families. She strongly impacted my life in such a positive and beautiful way. I will alway remember her with such fondness and love.

I met Yas at VUU in 1999 and her smile was the most pleasant and inviting smile I’ve ever encountered, even when she was upset she’d give that don’t mess me with me smirk too lol...
We talked and shared a lot once we both realized we were from the same parts of Jersey.
She was truly a great friend and always kept it real when I was wrong.

I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. There are no words that can relieve the pain that you are feeling right now but know that you are not alone as prayers of all your friends and family surround you at this time.
