Obituary of Viola A. Ronnie

Viola Pasquariello Ronnie, 83 of Maplewood, passed away on November 17, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange on Friday, November 22nd at 10:30 AM. Interment is at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, E. Hanover. Visitation will be at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, Thursday, from 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905 would be appreciated. Viola was born in Orange, raised in South Orange, spending her last 50 years as a Maplewood resident. Viola was a bookkeeper for many years. In the 1990’s she worked for the Essex County Carpenters Union in Bloomfield, until her retirement in 2000.  Viola loved the Jersey Shore, reading, going to the movies, and Sunday dinners with her family.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Clyde F. Ronnie, brothers Anthony, Angelo and Thomas, and sister Edith. Viola is survived by her loving daughters, Lynne McLoughlin and her husband Gene, Joan Melillo-Whalen and Patricia Miranda.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Jessica and Greg Clayton, Ryan and Tiffany McLoughlin, Ronnie and Erin Melillo, Jeffrey and Nate Samek, Lauren and Pete Holt, Patrick and Jennifer Melillo, and Jamie Miranda, and 11 great-grandchildren and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
