Obituary of Patricia Wiggins

Josephine P. Wiggins “ Pat”, 58, of Maplewood passed away at home on December 21, 2019. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady Of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange on Monday December 30th at 10:30 AM followed by interment at Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, E. Hanover. Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave, South Orange on Sunday, 2:00 - 6:00 PM. For more information or to send condolences please visit prestonfuneralhome.net Patricia was born on September 1, 1961 to John Henry Lee and Louise Miller Lee in Estill, SC. She was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and was an Executive Assistant at Alcatel-Lucent in Murray Hill, NJ for several years. She married Walter Anthony Wiggins in November 1989. They moved to Maplewood, NJ, where they lived for nearly thirty years, and had three children: Danielle, Sarah, and David. Patricia served for many years as a minister of the eucharist at Our Lady of Sorrows Church and was a member of the Rosary Society. She was also very active with the deacon’s wives of the Archdiocese of Newark. Patricia enjoyed cooking, geneology, listening to Prince, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a kind and generous soul who always put others before herself. Patricia was predeceased by her father John Henry Lee, mother Louise Miller Lee, and sister Sarah Lee Moore. She is survived by her husband Walter A. Wiggins, children Danielle, Sarah and David Wiggins; brothers Calvin Lee, John Henry Lee Jr., Ronnell Lee, George Lee, James Lee, Robert Lee and Thomas Lee; sisters Shirley Lee Deadwyler, Minnie Barfield, Ellen Lee, Evelyn Lee, Carol Williams, and Verna Garvin; father-in-law Walter Wiggins; mother-in-law Wilma Jean Wiggins; sisters-in-law Portia Wiggins, Patient Jones, and Ebony Wiggins; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
