Obituary of Dorothy Anne Zavesky

Dorothy Anne Zavesky (nee Krizin), 82, of Maplewood passed away at home surrounded by her family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, 767 Prospect Street, Maplewood, on Friday Jan 3rd at 10:00 AM. Interment Hollywood Memorial Park, Union. Dorothy was born in Newark and lived in Maplewood for the past 58 years. She was an active member of the Maplewood Garden Club, serving as Program Chairperson in 1982 and Co-chairperson of the Durand-Hedden Herb Garden Committee 1987-1992. Dorothy enjoyed many summers at the Maplewood Community Pool and cooking for her family. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph E. Zavesky. Dorothy is survived by her children Veronica Doll (Jack), Andrea Marino (Anthony), Susan Morris and Joseph E. Zavesky Jr, and grandchildren Jack Jr and Matthew Doll, Christopher, Geoffrey, Laura and William Marino, and Tyler, Dylan and Brett Morris.
