Obituary of Marie D. Manno

Marie D. Manno, 88, of South Orange, N.J., passed away on Jan. 9, 2020. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, on Monday, Jan. 13, at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Sunday, Jan. 12, from 2 to 6 p.m. Marie was born in Orange, N.J., and lived in South Orange for over 50 years. She was a graduate of Temple University and earned her master's degree in education from Seton Hall University. Marie was a chemistry teacher at Kearny High School for over 35 years. She was predeceased by her sisters, Nancy Holliday, Josephine Romano, and brothers, Michael and Anthony Manno. Marie is survived by her dear brothers, Oreste and Vito, and their wives, Rosemary and Elizabeth, and by her sister-in-law, Michaline.
