Elizabeth was raised in South Orange and has lived in Union since 1994.  She was a Senior Clerk with the Essex County Board of Elections in Newark, retiring in 2018.  She was a member of the Elks and the Irish American Society of Union.  She loved her Irish heritage and could be seen proudly marching each year in the Union County parade.  She also enjoyed vacationing with family and friends; but especially trips with her sisters who were known as the Three Muskateers.  She loved her Jersey shore beaches; but most especially her trips to Disney to see her beloved Mickey Mouse.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Michael J. Scanlon, Sr and her brother Edward Kelly.  She is survived by her children Michael J. Scanlon Jr., wife Joana and Kelly Anne Scanlon-Norris, husband Daniel and her pride and joy; grandson Mark Scanlon, as well as her godson, Timothy Kelly whom she adored.  She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses Bernard/Joan, John/Regina, Patrick/Lesley, Robert, Martin/Maureen, Mary/Michael Panella, Kevin/Maureen and Colleen Kelly as well as her brother and sister-in-law, Patrick/Debra Scanlon, and nieces and nephews; too numerous to count.
