I was pleased to know Willy from Hillcrest Residence at Christian Health Care Center. Several times I dined at "the men's table," with Willy. He was always a great conversationalist. Sometimes he would join our chat group on Tuesday mornings, bringing a book that he had read. He had a curious mind and a loving heart. Thanks be to God that not even death separates us from the love of God in Christ Jesus, our Lord. The Rev. Kathy Jo Blaske, chaplain for Hillcrest Residence and for Courtyard of The Longview Assisted Living Residence of The Christian Health Care Center, Wyckoff, NJ

Willy I will miss you. You have been a loyal friend to me & my family. I will miss our talks, Willy could be serious, funny but always interesting. He also loved hunting & fishing but most of all being with his family. He served the Township of Maplewood well as a member of the police force as a patrolman & later as an officer. You will not be forgotten.

Rest in Peace Willy. Prayers for your family. You will always be "Sgt. Steeb" in my memory. Teaching, Supervising and keeping a group of young, stupid cops safe. I was never afraid to go into any dark, dangerous place with you. I remember. DSGT. William Saunders #230

It was an honor and a privilege to serve with Paul, aka Willy, who was not only a fellow officer but a teacher and a gentleman. Willy was a wealth of information and shared that information, along with many stories of his years with the State Police, patrolling the Turnpike. State Police loss was Maplewood's gain! Rest in Peace my friend and prayers to your family. Retired Detective Lieutenant John J. Noonan (1972-1980)

A true gentleman. Much of what I learned when I was new on the job was from Willy. He was my first Sgt and he always had your back. Too many great memories to list. Rest In Peace my good friend

My memory of Mr. Steeb was him picking up Joanne and I from TSC and bringing us back to Maplewood, NJ for the weekend. He was always so friendly and welcomed me to their home like I was one of their daughters.
Later in life, he passed down one of his fly fishing rods to my husband since they both shared a love of the sport. Now whenever Scott catches a fish on that rod, he will know he had a little help from above.
Our hearts and prayers go out to Jennifer and Joanne and your family. You may have lost your dad physically, but Marie is now with him. He is taken care of and they are happy together once again.
Rest In Peace Mr. Steeb
Love-
Vanessa and Scott Nowicki
