Obituary of Marie D. Policarpio

Marie D. Policarpio nee D’Andrea, 93 of Springfield passed away peacefully at home on July 20, 2020. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. James Church, 45 S. Springfield Ave., Springfield on Friday July 24th at 10AM. Interment will be at St. Teresa’s Cemetery, Summit.

Marie was born at Columbus Hospital in Newark in 1927 to parents Michael and Ruth (Panzana) D’Andrea. She attended Millburn public schools and was a graduate of Overlook Professional School of Nursing. Marie was employed at Overlook Hospital close to 50 years. Marie married the boy next door, her “Vi”. They were married for 69 years. Marie volunteered at the first blood bank held at the Presbyterian Church. She was active as the former President of St. James Rosary and the Mother’s Guild.

Marie was predeceased by her husband N. Vincent and sister Carmina Parducci. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Vincent M. and Rita, her loving grandchild Rose Marie Kelly and her husband Brian, her three reasons for living, her three great grandchildren Phillip, Matthew and Marissa.
