I have just found out about the passing of Catherine. I am very saddened to hear this news.
I saw her in her therapy practice for over 10 years and she was such a caring and compassionate person. A very gifted therapist, who helped hundreds and hundreds of people.
I felt that I knew her quite well even though she was my therapist.
Love to her friends and family, gone was too young.
May she rest in peace.

Dear Catherine,
In the photo, from 21 years ago, it appears that we had just finished having lunch together. And, of course, we are smiling. Oh yes, that was our thing--meeting for lunch, enjoying each other's company. In more recent years, we would meet in NYC following some of your treatments. Those times were no less of a joy. And you were no less beautiful. More so for your courageousness. Other times stand out too--you and Frank attending my wedding; you and Rob coming to our 4th of July Party overlooking the Hudson River fireworks, and to Jersey Boys when I was playing the show.
I remember attending one of your birthday parties, there meeting Rob for the first time; and being not amazed but overwhelmed by the love in the room for you.
Not having a chance to say goodbye, I can only tell you in my heart that I love you and will miss you very much. I wish we could have had one more lunch together. My memories will have to suffice; and I will cherish them forever.
Ken

Dear Ms. Maranto. You will be missed. You were a bright soul during a very dull and tough time in my life. I’ll be forever grateful to you for showing me how to come together and find strength and support in one another. I’m determined to continue spreading the positivity, sense of community and support that you showed us all.

My sincerest condolences to Catherine's family. I have known Catherine for 20 years. We met when we were both pregnant at the same time. Our son's grew up together and we matured together. I will always remember, trick or treating with our boys, weekends together in New Jersey and Maryland, going to the Orioles game and our early days in Manhattan. Catherine was the most beautiful person that I know. She was kind, generous, funny and loving to everyone she encountered. I know one of her biggest joys in life, was her son, Beau! Catherine, you will be missed but always remembered and cherished.

Catherine was my clinical supervisor at Educational Alliance, Project Contact. She was supportive and insightful. Catherine had an optimistic spirit and a good sense of humor. I always adored her sense of optimism, she was so much full of life, plans, traveling, singing, being a mother, partner, therapist, friend....
She had her spirit in the most difficult time moments of her life. She had hope... She will be greatly missed.
My sincerest condolences to Beau, Rob, and everybody who knew Catherine.

My sincerest condolences to Catherine’s family and loved ones. While a student at NJIT, I had met and interacted with Catherine on campus and at EOP. She was very kind and so helpful to me and so many other students. She touched countless lives and she will be missed by all. May she rest in peace.

Catherine was my therapist for 6 years, 3 years during school and 3 years after. She made me a better man, challenged me, comforted me, taught me how to understand my emotions and how to cope with them. She was there during my darkest days, and there during some of my happiest, guiding me through it all. In her office, in her walls, I felt safe to talk about anything and everything. She was the catalyst on my path of becoming a mental health advocate, because I saw how much her efforts evolved my life. Her care helped me guide others into seeking the same for themselves.
Catherine, as I walk these halls, and continue my journey through life, I hope you can watch how much everything you've done for me has changed me for the better. Has made me stronger, warmer, tougher, happier and overall just someone who has learned how to love himself and be kind to himself. You were my candle in the dark days. I light one for you today as well.

A kindred spirit who now resides in peace with our heavenly Father.
Catherine will always live on in my heart, in my mind and in the far reaches of my being.
It was my good fortune to have known her.
