My dearest buddy Noreen,
No words can ever express how broken hearted I am by your horrific loss. I worried about Kate and always hoped that she was taking her medicine and resting. I loved when you would share with me her accomplishments and classroom tales. She sounded like an awesome teacher, caring and loving to all of her students, and so full of joy. I wish I could have met her. My dear friend, my shoulders are broad, so please lean on me and I will hold you up always. I just know that Laura and Katie are together and will take care of each other. I am here for you 24/7. My love always, shelly

This was devastating news to learn. My deepest condolences to Katie's family. You are covered in prayers during this most difficult time. Katie and I met through a mutual friend and we lived near each other in town. I always enjoyed hanging out with her. My fiancé and I recently hung out with her downtown, had dinner, and walked home together. She was very kind to his son who has Autism. She was a sweet soul who will be dearly missed. I will treasure the memories I have of her. If I can assist with anything in Morganton, please don't hesitate to ask. Loving thoughts, Andrea Lewis

Kathleen was a special young lady and a phenomenal teacher who was dedicated to her job and her students! As a teacher, she held high expectations and never gave up on her kids, even when they gave up on themselves! As a colleague, she always had the time to engage in conversation and was interested on a personal level in the lives of those she worked with. She was always willing to talk, and more importantly, listen, because she truly cared about our lives. She will be missed so much!

If I could describe Katie in two words it would be courage and love! She was the epitome of courage in how she dealt with her disability. She never complained or let it stop her from accomplishing her goals in life. No complaints, just full speed ahead and get the job done! She loved her students and her chosen profession of teaching. She gave her all, 110% to make sure her students were successful in their endeavors! She loved the people she worked with and she would always go that extra mile for others, whether it was to cover for someone's duty or to put a meal together for one of us during a time of crisis. That was Katie. You will be missed by Karen and I! We love you and will miss you! God Bless you and rest easy my friend!

My deepest sympathies. I will definitely hold a place for Katie in my heart. We worked together for many years at EBMS. She was an awesome teacher and a great friend. I have so many fond memories of my adventure with her when we would go on the textbook adoptions each summer. She always went above and beyond for her students and her friends. I will continue to pray for peace and God's love to surround her family. No parents should have to bury a child and the pain cannot be explained especially for a daughter like Katie. Hold close to those lovely memories and know that she touched so many lives and will continue to live on in those lives she touched.

Katie was a really amazing person. She had an uncanny knack to see through superficial surfaces and facades to be able to get to know the real person. She was definitely one of the few people that knew the real me and her friendship and ability to reconnect after years at a moment's notice just to catch up will be sorely missed. She was a great friend and I'll always think of her as a happy, joyous person that grabbed her life by the horns and loved and lived it to the fullest. My heart goes out to the entire Holtz family. May Katie Rest In Peace and bring that same joy as an angel watching over everyone.

To the family of Kathleen Holtz
Please accept my sincere condolences. I have taken comfort knowing that God . . . will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain.”—Revelation 21:3, 4
The Bible, however, holds out a much different hope. As we have previously noted, the Scriptures indicate that it is possible to be reunited with your dead loved one in the near future, not in an unknown heaven but right here on earth under peaceful, righteous conditions. And at that time humans will have the prospect of enjoying perfect health, and they will never have to die again. ‘But surely that is wishful thinking!’ some may say words of encouragement please go to JW.org for words of encouragement
Sincerely,
Roberta
