Obituary of Kathleen A Holtz

Kathleen A. Holtz, 34, died suddenly at home in Morganton, N.C. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, 767 Prospect St., Maplewood, N.J., on Saturday, July 1, at 10 a.m. Interment is in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Born in Livingston, N.J., Kathleen lived in Maplewood for 22 years before moving to North Carolina 12 years ago. She graduated from Columbia High School, Maplewood, N.J., in 2000 and received her undergraduate degree from York College, Pa., and her master's in education from Appalachian University in North Carolina. She taught 7th grade math at East Burke Middle School in Connelly Springs, N.C. She was predeceased by her sister, Laura Holtz. She is survived by her parents, Noreen Gomez and Jerome Holtz; her sisters, Christine Ryan and Maureen Reid; her brother, Paul Holtz, and her step-parents, Victor Gomez and Sandy Holtz, and her two nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Epilepsy Foundation, 1 AAA Dr. No. 203, Trenton, N.J. 08691-1811 would be appreciated.
