Eileen Schauler Charone, 92, passed away peacefully at her home in Millburn on April 21, 2021.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend The Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave, Short Hills, on Mon, April 26^th at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St Rose Of Lima Cemetery. Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave. Maplewood,  on Sunday  from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. . Eileen was born and raised in Millburn but lived most of her adult life in Manhattan before moving back to Millburn in 2010. She graduated from the Juilliard School in New York. She made her NY City Opera debut in the title role of Shostakovich’s Katerina Ismailova and sang in 24 leading roles  with the New York City Opera for 15 years and made her broadway debut in the the title role of My Darlin Aida. She then went on to work as a teacher and coach at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City.

Eileen was predeceased by her husband, Irwin H. Charone and her siblings Vincent Schauler  Verna  Dean, Marion Brancucci, Roseanne Byron, Louise Barlow and Barbara Sossi. She is survived by her son Jeffrey Charone and her sister Jeannette Remington as well as many nieces and nephews.
