I grew up in Maplewood and knew this family. I was in the US Navy like Mr. Sheil and saw him once in my Navy Uniform. He was a good man, and I really liked his daughter Marianne. Such a nice family so sorry for you. Tom Taylor, Wolfforth, Texas

I have the best father-in-law in the world. We had the greatest conversations and made so many plans to travel the world from his kitchen table. I loved listening to his classical music and the many "name that tune". I also loved the father - daughter dance as we looked up into the heavens and he told me all about the bright star that night and how special our wedding was and how much he loved his son, Brian and now me. He is the BEST and loving grandfather who beamed with delight to see us. Brison will proudly carry the SHEIL name into the next generation. Thank you for loving God and serving Him, thank you for your beautiful son & family, and thank you for loving me and welcoming me from day one. Butterfly Kisses daddy. I love you forever!

I was privileged to have William H. Sheil as my uncle & godfather. I’ll never forget the day he passed by the house to see my mom (his sister) when I was about 8 years old. He noticed a broken glass slat on one of the basement windows and took me in his big Lincoln Continental to purchase a replacement. The classical music played softly as he encouraged and led by example, as was his great strength of character. He was also there for me on several occasions during my wayward teenage years, and continued to be an inspiration as I found the path again and went on to college. I know he rests in heaven’s warm embrace, and we who were blessed to know him will cherish his memory always.
