I met " Bunky " at a very young age , probably at the Cameron field , swimming pool that the youngsters of South Orange frequented as children . I never had a disagreement or a cross word from Bunky , even as we both grew up into high school chums at Columbia high . Bunky and I are both military veterans that survived the Viet Nam fiasco . Rest in peace , Bunky , you've earned it .

I am sorry to read of Russell’s passing. We grew up together in S Orange in the 50s and 60s where we had a lot of fun as kids, as well as many mutual friends. He was nicknamed “Bunky” back in those days, and was a fun kid to be around. One of his good childhood buddies from the neighborhood was the late Billy Manning, who was one of my best friends even into our adult years. I lost contact with Bunky after I left Jersey for college in Vermont. My condolences to his family and many friends. RIP
