I am so sorry to hear this news. To his family and loved ones: He was an absolute joy to work with. Only interacted with him a couple of times, but his kindness and generosity were so darn obvious i felt it necessary to let y'all know. I have worked with James for the past 14 years, he was an amazing person, friend and beloved colleague. His vast knowledge in the sciences and technology always amazed the team, along with the ability to find the silver lining in challenging situations. James' sense of humor kept the team and those around him always smiling. He will be sincerely missed by all, our thoughts and prayers are with Deborah and family during this difficult time.

My sincere condolences to you, Debbie, and all Jim’s family. I always knew Jim was very intelligent, fun to be with, and creative! I remember one time, when I called Debbie ; he wanted to talk to me. It was a memorable conversation. He was a great man, husband, son, brother, and friend! I know, Debbie, you are grateful for all the years you had together—all the travels and visits with family! I'm so sorry for your loss. I worked with James at the Fed for the past number of years. I really enjoyed interacting with him as he was very good at troubleshooting technical issues, especially with UNIX. James was a common addition to a daily meeting my team has. He always came with a good attitude, ready to work, and also to have some fun. My whole team enjoyed working with James. We're sad to hear of his passing. He will be missed and remembered.

Every time I saw Jim he would have some new thing to tell me about, whether it was a connection he had to something in the newspaper, a hobby of his an addition to a collection. The last time I saw him he had started painting as therapy for his hand. Jim’s mind was never still — he was so smart and so interesting! What a loss for all of us. Elizabeth
