Jen...she took us all of the Goodwin girls under her wings. She was the mother hen for us freshies. I'll never forget your laugh, cooking, singing, sewing...the list goes on. Trinity would have not been the same without you. You'll always be remembered.

Memories of Jen:
Meeting her in the Sacred Heart Cathedral Choir. Her absolute passion for all things choral music and for connecting with people via singing, listening, sharing, correcting, refining, and making indescribably uplifting music.
Her laugh.
The night she gave me a place to stay because my car was snowed in and my journey too far after one of the Carol Sings (or some other big event).
Blasting out descants together from the pews at the Carol Sing when we were back at the cathedral after migrating to Our Lady of Sorrows. (The knowing glance we exchanged when we were about to launch.)
Meeting up for dinner at lovely restaurants with Jen, Eileen, and Leslie after I’d moved away.
Her singing at my wedding. She cantored the Psalm and was part of the most wonderful, loving, beautiful wedding choir I could have wished for.
Seeing her in the pews as I walked up the aisle with my father’s coffin. Hugging her after the funeral. Finding out not long after that she was diagnosed with cancer, and that she had come to my dad’s funeral during her phase of not knowing between realizing something was wrong and diagnosis.
Seeing her life as a person fighting cancer unfold via her Facebook posts. Rooting for her, loving her, being amazed by her.
Seeing her big heart translated through her posts about so many people and events in her life, and about her beloved cats.
Her faith. The kind that is deep, genuine, and rooted in the real world. (Like Jesus taught.) The kind that is lived more than spoken about. (“Preach the Gospel at all times. If necessary, use words.”)
Jen was an amazing person. So full of goodness, love, and life. The world needs more of what Jen brought to us. Farewell, Jen.

I had the pleasure of working with Jennifer for five years, and she always was such a joyful and kind person. I admired her positive attitude and Faith in the midst of her trials in life. She will be greatly missed and appreciated for her enthusiasm for Catholic publishing.

I first heard Jennifer sing at an event of the Society for Creative Anachronism and remembered how clear her voice was. We were “introduced” some months later when I recited a parody poem patterned after the prologue of The Canterbury Tales titled “A Cautionary Tale.” I had sat down after my recital, and she came by and kissed the top of my head. To date that is the sweetest feedback I have ever received. I’m on-and-off again RC. Her faith saw me through some dark times when she suggested I attend Advent or Lenten services. The world is poorer without her kind and generous spirit. Perpetual light shine upon her.

She helped me when I was going through the worst of my chemo, and gave me hope.
She had a pure voice and a pure soul.
Wish I had had time to know her better.

My fondest memory is being able to sit down with her and play recorders together at Novice Day. I hadn't played in many years and she was so sweet and encouraging. I truly enjoyed any time I got to spend with her. Such a delightful soul.

Jennifer was such a bright, beautiful person, so full of love and life. She had a smile every time I saw her, and her laugh was infectious. I met Jennifer in the SCA and we bonded over our mutual love of historical embroidery and textiles. She was so knowledgeable and always excited to share her skills and talents with others. I always enjoyed spending time with her when we crossed paths at events. And her voice! I loved to hear her sing, not only was it a joy to hear but seeing HER joy made it so much more meaningful. She will be mourned and missed by many people. I know i'll never forget her.

Jen was one of those people who was a presence in-and-of-herself. She filled a room with her laughter, her humor, and her voice. Her smile shined so brightly that the stars were dull in comparison. I first met her when I was 15 - nearly 30 years ago; she became one of my dearest friends.
I remember being overwhelmed, scared, while working at a hospital during the pandemic: I needed to talk to someone. Jen was there. I was worried about getting placed at my dream school. Jen was there. I wanted to learn to sing. Jen was there. Wanted to dance - she played music. Wanted to play music, she moved over and let me play beside her. She was one of those people who - if you're lucky - you'll meet once in your lifetime. I was so lucky to have met her and become friends with her.

Jennifer and I met in the SCA about 14 years ago and always sat and chatted at events. Jenn holds an extra special place in my heart. My oldest son was going through cancer treatments in 2016 at a hospital in West Chester. Several times over the course of that year Jenn would come up and visit while i was at the hospital with him, and would bring food and wine to keep me company, make me smile and pray for his recovery. She had asked others at her church to pray for my son too. I will forever be grateful for all she did for me and my family during that time and for our closer friendship afterwards. I will miss her very much.

I remember so many little things about Jen. The way she loved to be silly, her love of singing, cooking, sewing, talking. What I remember most, though, was how truly kind and generous she was, in so many ways, big and small. She would be open to anyone, happy to share and to learn and to give. She was so welcoming to me and to others. It seems so unfair that she should have to go so early. I will miss her, and so will all who were lucky enough to have met her

She was one of the most amazing people I have ever had the honor to call friend. It was Jen who helped me plan my first Medieval feast. She happily stepped up and helped plan and then cooked the feast for my wedding. She made me cry with happiness when she spoke at my elevation (SCA award ceremony) I will miss her smile, her song and most of all her hugs.

I'm so very sorry to hear about Jennifer. She was so smart and kind. It's always to reality check to hear that a PCHS classmate has passed and this is truly heartbreaking. My deepest condolences to her entire family.
