We were fortunate to have met Mary Lou several years ago one Christmas Day at Kristin and Whelan's house. She seemed delighted to be the recipient of a makeup session with Lucy and Alice in a way that defined the kind of parent and grandparent she had been over the years. We are so glad that we had the opportunity to meet and spend time with her. With the birth of Kevin and Emily's children, Simon and Felix, we shared grandparenting with Mary Lou. We recently enjoyed watching videos of Mary Lou surrounded by all of her grandchildren dancing together in her room. Her legacy will live on. Cynthia Pollack and Peter Purchia

It was an honor to have basked in her sunshine personality. She was an inspiration to me and so many others. We'll all cherish our memories of her. As a high school friend of her daughter Kristin I was treated to the motherly care of Ms. McGinn when we descended upon their Sanford home to watch 80s movies and eat peanut butter sandwiches. I remember particularly her concern and care for me when I was suffering after a break-up with a high school boyfriend. Enjoyed visiting with her in recent years at Kristin's home in New Jersey. She was a wonderful, caring person. Much love to Kristin, Kevin, and the whole family.

Bobby and I recall Mary Lou from our days in Sanford. Bobby said, "In addition to being a wonderful person, she was excellent at her job, a very smart nurse." We both loved her as a good friend with a ready laugh and a gentle voice. She was a kind person - I remember she looked out for a child in her neighborhood who she felt was not given adequate attention from parents. We know Mary Lou's mind had failed her, a misfortune she did not deserve. Kristen and Kevin, your mother was a terrific person. We are sorry for your loss. Annie & Bobby Hoyer

Our dear Mary Lou will be sorely missed. She was the oldest of the four female cousins and we had great fun on our cousins trips. So glad we had the opportunity to take those trips. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Love, Mary Beth

Mary Lou was one of the best friends I have ever had .We met in Sanford when our children were young we talked on the phone almost every day there was a group of us that had dinner together once a month .She was a fun person she was a good person everyone loved her.She was a person you could trust.I’m so lucky she was in my life remembering you love Bev Eischen
