I fondly remember Uncle Norman's great sense of humor and wit that could make a story about paint drying intriguing, how his generosity led to my discovery, and love, of Slice soda, and his regal spirit that will make him sorely missed, but never forgotten. Sending condolences and love to the Carless family.

My name is Anthony Longley, a good friend of Norman, lived in Greenwich town, attended Greenwich primary school, played football and cricket together on the street where he lived . Smart guy, excellent memory. We lost touch over the years, but was fortunate to reunite in the last couple of years, he will be missed.

Victor and I met in 1961 on our first day at Kingston College in Form 1D and for the next 13 years we did everything together. Our families were well known to each of us. Our friendship of 64 years sadly came to an end at his death. Our firm faith in Jehovah God kept us in touch via phone calls and his visits to Jamaica. He was a humble and modest man, deep thinker and extremely cautious in making major decisions. His thinking was always clear and incisive, and whenever he presented his work in writing, he was the best left hander and neatest in presentation. He was the singer and I was the dancer, as we strutted our stuff at concerts while at UWI.
My family and I will miss “Tubby” very much, he lived a simple and rewarding life, providing exceptional care for his family. May Jehovah God, continue his love and care for Janette his wife, family members, relatives and friends as we mourn the loss of our dear “Tubby”. He ran his course of life as a model for many to imitate. We will miss him very much, but the resurrection hope that we both share in common is a guarantee that this life is not all there is. Jah bless.
