My heart goes out to Mrs. Preston's family. I know what it is like to lose a matriarch, a family glue, and just someone that has true/genuine love. She touched my life as a young girl growing up. She was like a second mother then because of the one-of-a kind friendship my mother and her had while in Jamaica and then working together. My mother would always refer to their relationship as the model of "true friendship"; long lasting friendship. I remember her laughter and how they would talk and reminiscent about the good times they had but most importantly of their friendship. I remember the last time we went to see her in So Orange how proud she was of her family. She and my mom looked through albums, talked about old times and were just laughing together like young school girls. What a joy that was for me to sit and watch them! I also remember Mrs. Preston celebrating with my mom at her birthday party. I am so glad I have that picture of them together. I will treasure it. Thank you Mrs. Preston for helping my mom to raise me and for the love that you gave to me and my brother. To the children - you had a wonderful mom! "Be anxious for nothing but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made unto God; And the peace of God which passes all understanding will keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus". Philippians 4:6-7

I just want to say condolences to the families and friends of my grand Aunt Mrs Evelyn.so sad I didn't get to meet her but I know her good works will shine in the people who she had inspired and her memories will continued to live on.i want everyone to b strong and focus on the good memories my prayers are with you all.(Andrew)
