Obituary of Evelyn G. Preston

Evelyn G. Preston, 88, of South Orange, NJ passed away on August 12, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange on Tuesday August 21 at 12:00 PM. Visitation is from 10:30 AM until time of service. Interment is at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth. Evelyn was born in Westmoreland, Jamaica and has lived in South Orange, NJ for the last 40 years. After serving as a nurse in Jamaica, she moved to the US where she graduated from Essex County College and spent over 20 years as a registered nurse at Greystone Park Hospital in Morris Plains, NJ before retiring. She was predeceased by her husband John E. Preston Jr. She is survived by her children Dave Sangster, Pauline Salmon and Norma Siley, her siblings Samuel Spence, Mrs. I. Hammond, Mrs. I. Washburn and Shirley Brown, grandchildren Lisa, Christopher, Kim, Shari, David, Stephanie, and Joshua, great-grandchildren Adrianna, Carter, CJ, Marlie, and Alena, and numerous nieces, nephews, close relatives, and friends.
