I just watched the documentary Home. I am inspired by the work and love of Mrs, Mary Abernathy. I praise God for her witness and life even though never met. Prayers for all who continue to grieve her, particularly her family and friends. Please know that her legacy lives on!!!! Peace to you!

Just watched the documentary ((home) I was so touched by Mary's compassion for helping people. I was so sad to find out that mary passed away. This film brought tears to my eyes. She was a kind loving lady. Wish I would have known you. Melanie Mallery.

I saw Mrs. Mary for the first time today on the film Home. Impressed by her diligence and kind heart towards humanity, I was led to look her up and tell her how her kindness touched my heart. Needless to say I was saddened to read she had passed away last year. More people like her is what is needed in this world. God bless you Mrs. Mary.

I am so heart broken to find out that Mary Abernathy moved on to her higer power. We worked together at New Community Corp. for 8 years. I was so fond of her. She was so beautiful, plesant, charming, so much charisma about herself, loved helping people. She is dearly missed. I know you are looking down on us with your beautiful smile. God bless her family. I just watched a documentary with Mary Abernathy in it - her amazing passion in helping people to get housing was just astonishingly beautiful to witness. I am heart broken she died prematurely from cancer - my heart goes out to her family and friends. It's extremely difficult when those special individuals who make such an impression in our communities are gone so abruptly like that. Unfair, truly.
