Karen and Brian,
My deepest sympathies to you both on the death of your father. It is ironic that I had just contacted a friend at Mountainside to find out where your Dad was, wishing to send him holiday greetings. She found him, but a day too late.
My enduring memory of your father is that when, as a shiny new M.D., he came to make a house call on my elderly grandmother. She, being used to her even more elderly former doctor, said to my mother after your father's visit, "What a NICE young man!" He was always nice, and compassionate and competent as he treated three generations of the Arny family, attended parties and weddings here and shared New Years celebrations with us at the North's home. I am sorry I did not get to see him near the end of his life, but he will continue to live in my memory as that dear, "nice young man." He was deeply entwined with our family for years and we were all very fond of him. He will be missed.
