Obituary of Frederick N. Bailey, M.D.

Dr. Frederick N. Bailey, M.D., 86, of Maplewood, formerly of Upper Montclair, died Dec. 25, 2008, in Winchester Gardens, Maplewood. The funeral is private. Arrangements are by The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, Maplewood. Born in Newark, Dr. Bailey lived in Upper Montclair before moving to Maplewood eight years ago. He was a graduate of Cornell University and Cornell Medical School. Dr. Bailey served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a medical doctor. He was medical director at Chubb Insurance Co., Parsippany, for many years before retiring. Before working at Chubb, Dr. Bailey ran a private practice from his home in Upper Montclair for many years. He was the beloved husband of the late Constance Boyle Bailey; loving father of Karen Fitzpatrick, Brian, and the late Bruce Bailey, and is also survived by one grandson.
