Obituary of Otis G. Watts

Otis Gerald Watts Jr. of Newark, passed away on the morning of Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009. Mr. Watts was born on March 13, 1947 in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he lived until his family moved to Washington Heights. He graduated from the City College of New York with a bachelor's degree in fine arts. He worked in Manhattan in the broadcasting industry briefly before turning his interest towards insurance. He worked for a number of insurance firms, most recently as the workers compensation administrator for the Ford Motor Co. in the New Jersey area, where his family had moved in 1989. He was an avid golfer and a member of the New Jersey Hole-in-One Club. He was the loving husband of Patricia and devoted father of William. He is also survived by his sisters, Gwendolyn Williams and Ida Nash and his nephew, Anthony Joseph.
