To Gene's family - please accept my sincere sympathy and condolences on your loss. I only learned just a few moments ago of Gene's passing, or I assuredly would have been present for the viewing or funeral. Gene had been my most devoted piano student for the last few years, coming to my home for lessons every three weeks or so. I can truly say I hoped he would never stop! I enjoyed our time together immensely, Gene was (as you no doubt know) quite a character. I am very saddened by his passing, as is my wife Mauria. We are honored to have had the opportunity to know him, we are definitely better off for it. Most sincerely, Jeff
