Alice and Ted were always dear friends of Rosemary and me. I'll always remember the stories about Alice -- how she ate the asparagus from another table and then the woman whose aspargus she ate returned or how a telephone wire repairman saw her lying on the floor with the vacumn cleaner running alongside her. He thought she was dead and went to save her.
She was asleep!
I will miss her. May she rest in peace.

Aunt Alice never had a cross word for anyone. She loved and was loved by everyone. There are so many great memories there is not enough space to write them all. We will all miss her greatly.

Alice R. Mooney was a one in a million mother in law. I can't remember Alice ever saying a mean word about anyone. I was fortunate to be able to share time with her at my homes in Pennsylvania and in Florida. Alice was happiest when she was with her children, family and grand children and was always a positive inspiration to my family and I.
Alice told a story about hard times in the 30's where she would put cigarettes in the street for the poor people to pick up instead of the butts they scrambled for. This is the kind of woman she was and for that and many more reasons
She will be greatly missed

Every memory of my dear grandmother is that of her extreme selflessness, love and compassion for everyone around her. A phrase she always said for every problem she fixed was "no problem dear". She was always there for me and my siblings and every single person that met her instantly loved her, like my friends. Grandma is indeed an angel and she is no doubt in heaven. I love you Grandma. Thank you for loving us all so much. The last thing when I was with her, is she opened up her eyes and winked... thats grandma, always loving and cheerful. I will always miss you.

My condolences to "Grandma Mooney's" family.
I always think of her as "Grandma Mooney", I guess because she was always so welcoming! In fact, she refused to allow me to call her Mrs. Mooney (and I would never have dreamed of presuming to call her Alice!)
I have many fond and funny memories - her warmth and generosity and simple kindness to all will be long remembered and long missed!I am sure she is enjoying her new life in heaven as she enjoyed her life here - with great gusto and love for all!

To all the Gauli/Mooney family,
When I think of Grandma Mooney I can't help but smile. The times I was in her presence were always filled with giggles. She had such an obvious love for life and those that shared it with her, especially her grandchildren. I'm honored to have known her and I know there are many giggling with her even now. My prayers go out to all the family with great love.

My dear Aunt Alice... I have such fond memories of my times with her and think of her with a smile on my face and tears in my eyes. Uncle Peter hit it on the head as he reminisced about her colorful stories. She made a fact to tell me that she was upset with my parents that I wasn't named "Alice" since I was born on her birthday. It brings me comfort to think of her with Dad and their other sisters again. My condolences go out to you Aunt Pat for the loss of your sister and all of my cousins and your families.

I am very sad that my health does not permit me to travel to the services for my Mother. In one word, she was an amazing woman, who I try each day of my life to emulate. I came across a quote that I feel speaks clearly to the way Mother lived her life.
"Love theyself last.
Look near, behold thy duty to those who walk beside thee down life's road. Make glad their days by little acts of beauty and help them bear the burden of earth's load." -
Wilcox
I think anyone who ever met Mother had their day gladdened - how amazing is that?

My earliest memories of Aunt Alice and Uncle Ted and crew were Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa Reilly on Fernwood Ave. The Mooney's were always the last to show and with great fanfair. Hard working and generous to a fault they set a good example for all. Bob, you are a great example of "honoring thy Mother and Father" in your devotion to your Mom these last few years. Ed and Cathy

To the loved ones of Alice Mooney - I never had the privilege of meeting Mrs. Mooney, but if the kindness and spirit of her granddaughter Mary Alice is any indication, she must have been a very special lady. It is a blessing that she lived a long life and had the chance to see the growth of her family and the changes in the world. I hope good memories and appreciation for her many years on earth help to comfort all who knew her. May faith in G-d and knowing she is at peace help get through this time. - With deepest sympathy - Lorraine Fenchel
