Obituary of Alice R. Mooney

Alice Reilly Mooney, 93, of East Orange died on March 18, 2009, at St. Michael's Medical Center, Newark. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, on Monday, March 23, at 9:30 a.m. Interment is in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visitation will be held at the Jacob A. Born in Orange, Mrs. Mooney was a lifelong resident of East Orange. She was a partner with her late husband in Mooney Brothers Plumbing Co., East Orange, from the 1960s to the 1980s before retiring. Mrs. Mooney was the beloved wife of the late Edmund J. Mooney Sr.; devoted mother of Edmund J. Mooney Jr., Katherine M. Curran, Robert P. Mooney, Mary V. Mooney and the late Alice Gauli, and dear sister of Patricia Canfield. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
