Obituary of Ndome L. Essoka

Ndome L. Essoka, 37, of Newark died on Monday, July 30, 2007, at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Prospect Presbyterian Church, 646 Prospect St., Maplewood, on Saturday, Aug. 4, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery, Orange. Visitation will be held at the Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., Orange, on Friday from 5 to 9 p.m. For more information or to send condolences, please visit prestonfuneralhome.net.
Born in New York, N.Y., Ms. Essoka lived in South Orange before moving to Newark two years ago. She was a perinatal educator at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark since 2003. Ms. Essoka earned a B.S. in psychology at Hunter College in 1992 and B.S. in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997.
She was the beloved mother of Sayje and Amadi Lasenberry; devoted daughter of Gloria and Modi Essoka; dear sister of Jonathan Essoka and his wife, Yulanda, and wife of Kevin Lasenberry.
