Obituary of Mario M. Macaluso

Mario M. Macaluso, 93, of Maplewood died on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, at Clara Maass Continuing Care Center, Belleville. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 9 a.m., thence to St. Josephs Church, Maplewood, where a Funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Orange. Born in Newark, Mario resided in Maplewood for 30 years. He was a maintenance mechanic for General Motors, Clark, from 1960 to 1980 before retiring. He also worked for the Pabst Brewing Company, Newark, in the 1940s and 1950s. He was a member of St. Josephs Church, Maplewood, as well as St. Josephs Church Knights of Columbus and St. Josephs Church Senior Rainbow Club. Mario was the beloved husband of the late Nicolette Torino Macaluso, and devoted father of Phyllis Nardelli and Peter S. Macaluso, loving grandfather of Rochelle and Richard Nardelli, Peter and Mark Macaluso and great grandfather of Nola Maria Macaluso and dear brother of Joseph Macaluso, Rosalie Lucas and Antoinette Cotugno
