Our deepest sympathies to you Chris, as well as to Nicole, David and Cleo. We were very saddened to hear of Serge's passing. Serge always had such a wonderful outlook and a sense of humor. Through his career and volunteer activities he did so much for others. Because of your closeness to the Perlman family through Preston and Stella, his death is like losing part of our family. Serge has certainly enriched many lives and leaves a legacy to be proud of and to warm your hearts forever. Our hearts and thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
-Dan Perlman and Lorrie Brubacher

My deepest condolences.
Serge, with one phone call, changed the course of my life. In the early 1960s, I taught English in a private school in Queens where Serge was the principal. After I left the school, I visited him once in Woodstock. Afterward, we lost contact. Then in 1969, out of the blue, I got a call from him. Somehow he had found me; he wanted to know if I would like to teach English in Mamaroneck where he was the assistant principal. "Where is Mamaroneck?" I said. I took the job and, because of that one phone call, I taught happily in Mamaroneck and lived in Westchester for the next 40 years. Thank you Serge Angiel, thank you.
