Jim and I were good friends while attending St. Benedict's Prep from 61-65. He always had a smile on his face and I enjoyed his company. Although we drifted apart after HS I often recalled the good times we had together. Rest in Peace my friend.

Could never have a better friend than Jim. Our friendship established our first year at Fairfield University and never waivered. Even though we didn’t see much of each other for the past few years, time was irrelevant to our friendship
I will truly miss him and will be forever grateful for having been his friend.

I am so sorry for your loss. The write up is definitely a wonderful tribute that provided great insight into who Jimmy was and what he did. Thank you and your family for sharing. You are most definitely in my thoughts and I know the thoughts of many others.

Paul--I was very sorry to learn of your brother's passing. Years ago, I had the "pleasure" of having him as an adversary when he was involved with the Division of Gaming Enforcement and he certainly earned my respect. I am certain that you and your family have many pleasant memories of him and these memories should sustain you in these difficult days. As we say at Jewish memorials, "may his memory be a blessing to you". I think that says it all. My sincere condolences.

One of my greatest associations in life is with the hard working men and women that attended Seton Hall University School of Law. Through his continued involvement with the law school, James was a mentor and role model for me. You will be missed my friend!

I remember "Jimmy" so well from grammar school at Our Lady of Good Counsel. He and his family were fixtures in the parish. I followed his successful career with interest and we would talk occasionally about the old days. Jim was a good son of Newark and a credit to his profession.

"He had all the elements mixed in him, that Nature might stand up and say to all the world, 'This was a man.'"
He was a beloved and respected Coach of the Mock Trial Team at Seton Hall Preparatory School and helped us with his untiring efforts and gifts of time and advice to several Essex County Runner-up positions in our competitions.
He set an example of selfless service to years of different teams, and was a true officer of the court in every honorable way.
He was modest in all his gentlemanly qualities and was a dear family friend since before I was born.
James was a rock on whom I could always depend for sound advice in life experiences. He will truly be missed, but now he is well and whole and with his dear parents in Heaven.

I just found out about Jimmy passing
I first meet Jimmy in 1953
His father was my moms Doctor for five of my brothers
For 5 years we were inseparable
We did everything together. Played sports, collected baseball cards, collected DC comics, especially Superman. Went to kids Saturday matinees, played trivia questions and hung out after school. I moved away in 1958 but I still visited Jimmy during holidays and stayed at his house
After high school graduation, I went in the Army and we lost touch
