Very sorry to lose my oldest friend's beloved Mother and my friend, Anne Masey. Met many years ago when she and her family moved to Maplewood. Remember her love of family, quick wit, friendly smile, and constant ability to get a quick meal put together for Al when he had to be some place in a hurry. Also remember her and Mr. Masey's tolerance of Al's various used cars in the driveway, and especially of the time when we removed the exhaust manifold and ran the car without it -- very loud!
She never forgot a birthday or anniversary with a card arriving sometimes before the birthday person or couple remembered such a date coming up.
Even in her later years, phone conversations were always interesting (but don't call during television mass), with a sincere blessing from her before the call ended. She was one of the "greatest generation" and we will miss her.
