Ian G. Howland, 36, of Morristown passed away suddenly on Saturday March 30, 2019

The family will be receiving friends at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange on Saturday April 13th from 1:00-3:00PM. Followed by a Service at 3:00PM. Interment is private. For more information please visit www.prestonfuneralhome.net

 

Ian was raised in South Orange before moving to Morristown. He was a Sales Associate for Barnes and Noble in Livingston. Ian loved spending time with his family, especially playing games and winning at trivia. He was an avid reader, sharing his father's enjoyment of science fiction. Ian loved all things Star Wars and collected almost anything Star Wars. He enjoyed going to movies and going to see his friend's band play. Ian will always be remembered with a smile on his face and laughing with his friends and family.

 

He was predeceased by his parents Richard D. Howland Ph.D. and Marion “Merry” Howland, brother Matthew Howland. He is survived by his siblings David, Keir Livingston and her wife Erin, Christopher, Adam and Mark Howland, nephews Steve, Conor, Thaddeus, niece Mattison and sister- in-law Sarah Howland.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Ian's name can be made to St. Baldrick’s Foundation, 1333 South Mayflower Avenue, Suite 400, Monrovia, CA 91016 would be appreciated.
