Obituary of Marehalli Gopalan Prasad

Dr. Marehalli Gopalan Prasad, 69, passed away suddenly on Monday November 25, 2019 at his home in Maplewood. Visitation will be held at the Chapel at Rosedale Cemetery & Crematory, 408 Orange Road, Montclair on Wed Nov. 27th from 10:15-11:15 AM. Cremation to follow. Mr. Prasad was born in Hassan, Karnataka, India. He moved to the United Staes in 1977, residing in Maplewood since 1984. He received his Phd from Purdue University in Mechanical Engineering. He was a professor at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken from 1980 to his retirement in 2017.  He was very active in the Hindu Community of the Tri-State area.
