Jason was one of two beloved sons whose loss is almost too great to bear. He always went out of his way to make people feel special and was always great fun to be around - with a huge smile for everyone.
For years we spent Thanksgiving with Jason who always made sure that we had the best time. We will always remember those days after Thanksgiving when we would join Jason and Kris in their hunt for a special Christmas tree - and then spend ages trying to set it up perfectly.
When he was in the UK he would always call to see if we could meet up, including his brother David, and his family whom he adored. He loved to challenge nephew Jonny to a game of basket ball, with a difference - try to kick the ball through the basket!
We enjoyed wonderful times on holidays with Jason and Kris -especially the week in Como!.
Jason was with us for Christmas when we went to an old favourite pub he frequented as a student and went to his brother David's where we took up the family challenge of Trivial Pursuit.
We were lucky enough to see Jason back in the UK in the middle of January when we met up with him and his older son Cameron on Saturday morning in Richmond where Jason had bought his first home. We all wandered by the river, popped into his old 'local' and had a Persian breakfast! A good day to remember.
David and we will sorely miss his constant rugby commentaries from Engliand Internationals!
Jason will be forever loved and never forgotten.

Jase - your accomplishments are many. But the real measure of a man is not what he has done, but how he has made the people he has known feel. Your impact on the lives you have touched is profound my friend and as such you will live, and be loved, forever. Your easy charm, generosity of spirit and of course your infectious sense of humour accompanied by that cheeky grin and knowing twinkle in the eye will be sorely missed by us all.
You lived your life admirably Jason....I'm so very proud of you and even prouder to be able to call myself a friend of such a golden-hearted man. Say hi to Bob for me, keep smiling down on us all, and mix up one of your legendary Bloody Mary's for us to all to share in good time.

I worked with Jason at Credit Suisse for many years, he was someone that I respected and who also made me laugh! He will be remembered fondly. I have made a donation in his memory to St. Jude.

It is with the utmost sorrow that I learned of Jason’s death. My memories of him go back to his school days at Portsmouth Grammar School when he became good friends with my beloved late son, Robert (Bob) Maclaren, who died of cancer in 2005. He enjoyed many a Sunday roast lunch with us at the farm. My last memory of him was in 2001, when, alerted by Bob, he and Jo and young Cameron suddenly turned up at Overlook Hospital, Summit, NJ to visit me while I was hospitalised with a broken hip..... you cannot know how wonderful it was to see dear familiar faces at such a difficult time in a strange country. I send my love and most sincere condolences to all his family and friends.

When I think of Jase, I first see his huge smile. I remember how he complimented anything I'd cooked as "gorgeous" which made me feel great, of course, until I realized he said everything tasted gorgeous. We got a laugh out of that. I think that came from his effusiveness and large, warm personality that we all loved. I hope memories of that warmth bring you comfort and I wish to express my deepest sincere condolences. Much love to his family and all those grieving. Cindy Saxl
