Wayne and I were Sigma Chi fraternity brothers and, for a semester, roommates. Wayne was a quiet fellow with a great sense of humor. An excellent athlete, he and I played together on the fraternity softball team which won the campus championship in Wayne's senior year. It was always a pleasure to chat with Wayne and Joady at campus events over the years.

Dear Joady and family -
Deepest condolences on Wayne's passing.
As a neighbor in Maplewood - our family always looked forward to the giant candy cane that graced your front lawn at Christmastime. Sam always said "Mr. Anderson is ready!!!" when he saw it.
It was a blessing to know Wayne and we will treasure his neighborly waves from the driveway and the yard - accompanied always with one of the world's best smiles.
Bidding you peace as you navigate the days and weeks ahead.
Kim, Tim and Sam Mullaney

I am grateful to have known Wayne for over 50 years. Over these years we worked together, bowled together, golfed together, and volunteered at the credit union together. He was loved by the many colleagues, bowlers, golfers and credit union associations who had the pleasure of his acquaintance. I knew him as a loving husband and father. His sense of humor was unforgettable. He was a quiet, gentle soul and we will all miss him.
My sincere condolences to Joady and Amy, and to his family and many friends.

I had the pleasure of working with Wayne for a number of years as he served on the Board of Directors for the credit union I am employed at. He was a genuinely good man and had a subtle sense of humor that I very much appreciated. My sympathies to your entire family at this difficult time.

I don't think of Wayne as gone away--
his journey's just begun
life holds so many facets
this Earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched...
for nothing loved is ever lost--
and he was loved so much.
Our hearts go out to you, Carol & Allie.

Wayne became a valued friend and family member the moment we met him with Joady in NYC, before Amy married our son, Ted, in Seattle.
His intelligence, warmth, quick wit and humor are memorable, and he will always
be in our hearts and thoughts.
We already miss him.

Wayne was truly one of the nicest people i've ever met. We played tennis in years gone by and he was always courteous and extremely warm person. A true gentleman...He will be sorely missed... wonderful human being.

My deepest condolences to your family. I had the pleasure of sharing the tennis courts of Maplewood with Wayne. He was always a fine gentleman, with a wink in his eye. He’d stand so casually on the court, sometimes with one hand in his pocket, able to hit any ball that came his way. I know he will be on the courts with us always—and looking down on us when we miss an easy overhead. Rest In Peace, Wayne—you will be missed.

Wayne was a neighbor but I got to know him best on the tennis courts in Maplewood. He was kind enough to play tennis with me when I was first learning and offered tips along the way to help me improve. At the tennis courts Wayne would always play with anyone who asked. He was a talented tennis player but more importantly was a wonderful human being, a gentle soul. My condolences to the Family.
