We were so saddened to hear about Bob's passing. Although we had not seen him in months, as long time Wyoming neighbors, we had so many lovely sidewalk chats with Bob over the years. We will miss his smiles and warmth.
Sending condolences to the Pearson family. Our thoughts are with you.

I felt privileged to be a colleague of Bob Pearson (and an English teacher to two of his children) in the Millburn School District. He was an inspiration to us all - congenial, encouraging, supportive, positive, and approachable. I will always remember the twinkle in his eyes as he talked about Connie and the family; indeed Bob made everyone feel like his "Millburn Family." He seemed to have a perpetual smile on his face and love in this heart. On a personal note, being a non-jock, I was especially honored by his friendship and interest in my life. He knew I appreciated the sports world, and I knew he certainly had an affinity for the arts - as evidenced by his "encore career" at the Papermill Playhouse. I secretly considered him my "cool, athletic, affable" (unofficial) older brother.
Thanks for the lovely memories, Bob - Take a Bow, Star Educator and Human Being!

Sending condolences to the entire family. Coach/Director Pearson was a positive role-model and influence in my childhood and I'm thankful for his dedication to the vibrant athletic life in our community. Thank you, Pearsons, for being lovely neighbors in the Wyoming section!

My heart-felt condolences to Connie and her family. My Caroline (d. in 2015) & I had the blessing of being neighbors (on Bailey Rd.) of Bob's from 1976 through 2005. God does not make better men than Bob Pearson. Whether relating to loved ones, co-workers, or neighbors... Bob was as good as we can become. Whether dealing with "high-powered" (in their own minds) parents unhappy with their child's lack of playing time on one of the H.S. athletic teams .... or "shepherding child actors at Paper Mill when off stage", "Mr. Pearson" did it very well and with grace. You are remembered very fondly; RIP Bob.
