Sara brought a wonderful Latin temperament into our staid, New England Clapp family. I remember a wonderful Russian beet and pea, sour cream and dill salad she made us after I had recently returned from a choral trip to the Soviet Union in the mid 1980’s. What a superb and adventurous cook she was. She had a fiery temperament encased in a warm, infectious, loving heart.

I remember Sara from the 1980s. The Clapp family lived next door to us. She was always friendly, knew a lot of different things, and was willing to share ideas. Sometimes she spoke of her childhood and shared fond memories of Buenos Aires.
