Living only 5 houses away from the Nichols family for the first 6 years of my life, I remember playing their backyard and watching a mother garter snake having her babies.
Even though there were almost 6 years between us, Ford already treated me kindly and never like a little kid. I hadn't seen Ford in many years but he and I were at the Meadowlands watching his bothers' band play last year. We talked a bit at that time and I'm glad we did.
Rest in Peace Ford. My prayers are with you and your family.

I remember Ford so fondly - he was so sweet! And his willingness to help was wonderful!
I saw him at the meadowlands years ago, not knowing he worked there ... just saw him and pulled over to say hi .... he gave us vip treatment and was happy to reconnect ... as was I! Always fond memories of all of Nichols family!
Condolences to all of the family and especially Mrs. Nichols - not the right order of things...

Ford and Jay were my first neighbors on Valley Street after my divorce. I was a young struggling mom with two little kids. Their kindness will never be forgotten. My deepest condolences to the entire family. Claudia Mattheiss
